Can anyone tell me how to MAKE the drip candles that go in the wine bottles and drip down the side?
I have been searching and searching through the Internet for the instructions/directions on how to make these candles. So far I have had no luck. I need to know like what kind of wax, molded or dipped, etc. Thank you for any help/info you can give.

I did not think there was a special kind of candle, Ive seen it done with any skinny ordinary candle, put it in the bottle, light it, watch the wax drip onto bottle.
This book will tell you how to make candles of all kinds, including drip candles:
You can get it super cheap on half.com, or check for it in your library:
I think the trick is in taking the wick bigger than the size of the candle requires, that way it will melt more wax than it can burn.
I have done it by accident, but never on purpose, so I do not know by how much you should over-size.
If the wick is not in the middle of the candle it will also drip, but not all around.
Molding or dipping both will work with both systems.
Wax that melts at the lowest heat will be more likely to run, and do less damage because it will cool down fast too.
go to Wal mart and buy then they come two to the box for about 3 dollars.or any arts and craft store or hobby shops.I have them all over my house and some of them was started in the 60′ and 70’s and still going strong.
super easy, dip layers of different colors on your candle, plain old wax, you want your colors to be strong, most purchased candles are white with color on the outside, you want these to be color all the way through.
Why make them when you can get them for about a dollar a piece at this site?
