How can i smooth candles after they come out of the mold?

Some of my molds make the candles a little rough around the edges, I would like to smooth them out.

    Dip them in very hot water for a second.

    try maybe soaking a peice of cloth in boiling water and rubbing the outside with that, it should gently remove the excess without sacrificing the shape of the candle.
