I want to have a nice dinner with my bf tonight and i was planning on lighting candles, how long should i let them burn so that upon walking through the door he is greeted by the smell? ((Our apartment is tiny, probably the size of the average master bedroom))

  1. Until it reaches the wax, and melts a little of it.

  2. The scent should begin to emit it’s fragrance right away, but if you want the whole apartment to be filled with the aroma, I would give it at least 10 minutes or so, and you can disperse the candles around the apartment, or just near the place where you will be most of the time.

  3. It depends on the candle. If you have a high quality candle with a lot of fragrance oils it should fill your home with scent in less than a half hour. Lower quality candles usually have less fragrance oils so it might take a little longer.
