I tend to think that the wick should be lit at least once, even if you blow it out quickly to avoid ruining the design of the wax. But decorative wax candles that have never been lit even once just bug me. And don’t let them be dusty–that’s even more foul. What’s the opinion of the group?

I would love to make some candles and wondered if anyone ever used a crockpot or slow cooker to melt the wax?I am disabled and can’t stand for very long at the stove.Non stick coating or regular on the cooker?Thanks for any insight.
